As part of State Capital Title & Abstract Co.’s long tradition of trust, the confidentiality of personal information is paramount. We maintain high standards to safeguard personal information. We will remain vigilant in protecting that information and in using it in a fair and lawful manner. Below is an outline of our privacy statement. It identifies the personal information that we collect and hold, and describes how we use, share and secure it. It also explains the access we allow to your information and how to contact us if you have any questions regarding our privacy practices.

This statement is being made by past and present employees of State Capital Title to reflect our consistent treatment of personal information throughout our company. Personal Information collected is used to set up and maintain accounts as well as for order processing for both current and former clients.

Information Collection

Based on our relationship with you, we collect personal information from and about you that is adequate, relevant and appropriate under the circumstances. We may collect or verify personal information from or about you in the following ways:

  • From applications, forms, communications and other interactions, information including your name, address, email address, telephone number, and fax number
  • From your transactions made with State Capital Title, information including Order Process information such as billing address

We may also collect non-personally-identifiable information as you explore our website. The numbers gathered here are then analyzed to better understand the needs of the website users and to make improvements to the site.

State Capital may disclose information you provide us to a third party in order to complete the transaction requested. These non-affiliated third parties are required to protect the confidentiality and security of this information and to use it only in accordance with our instruction for the purposes agreed. Beyond that, State Capital does not rent or sell personal information.

Access and Correction

State Capital allows for you to exercise your own preferences on the website and make any necessary changes, once you tell us your preferences you do not need to take further action. Any account owner can change preference on his or her account at anytime by logging into Manage My Account or by calling 800.876.8994. Please use this function to update any changes that occur to your account whether it is an address and/or personnel change and submit them through our website.


State Capital Title understands the importance of keeping personal information secure. That is why we have strict policies in regards to who sees this information, only employees who need the information in order to carry out their job responsibilities are granted access. We do impose penalties for anyone who fails to comply with any policies in place to protect our clients.

State Capital Title will use our best efforts to maintain and monitor our physical, electronical, and procedural safeguards to comply with applicable regulations, updating them as needed so that we may protect personal information. We will also take technical and organizational security measures as we deem appropriate to keep personal information confidential and secure again unauthorized or unlawful processing, and to prevent loss, destruction, or damage.

Policy Changes

On the occasion that State Capital Title must amend our policy statement, we will post an announcement to the website and will not change the way that we share personal information unless we contact you and discuss on an individual account level.
